Aim & Objectives

 

The Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association were formulated with the aims to organize and uplift the Ex-servicemen and their dependents by implementing suitable programs and schemes. There are more than 42 object incidentals or ancillaries set forth in the Memorandum of Association for the attainment of the following main objectives:

(a)        To formulate, promote and implement any scheme aimed at the welfare of the Ex-servicemen (ESM) belonging to the State of Kerala and their dependents to earn a better living; with no intention to distribute the surplus, if any, by way of dividend or otherwise.

 

(b)        To promote entrepreneurship among Ex-servicemen and their dependents, with no intention to distribute the surplus, if any, by way of dividend or otherwise.

 

(c)        To provide financial and technical assistance and managerial service to Ex-servicemen and their dependents, groups of such individuals such as Companies, Co-operative Societies and to institutions with no intention to distribute the surplus, if any by way of dividend or otherwise.

 

In accordance with the conditions laid down in the Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association, any earnings / surpluses generated from the Corporation’s activities /services are utilized for the purpose of welfare and development of the Ex-servicemen and their dependents. The Company has been enlisted in the Public Sector Firms List and approved by the Planning Department. The review of public enterprises in Kerala by Bureau of public enterprises has placed the Corporation at the top spot among welfare corporations of the State and amongst the top 10 revenue earning organisations of the State for the financial year 2018-19. Kexcon increased its annual turnover during the year as compared to the previous financial year. The networth and return on investment of the Corporation remains positive.
